Contents

History

This school was formerly the Belgrade-Elrosa and Brooten school districts. When these schools did not have enough children to keep the schools running, they merged in 1989. However, Belgrade-Elrosa elementary school did not merge with Brooten until 1994.

In 2005, BBE had their first state team participant, winning the 6AA championship in volleyball. They lost to Stewartville and St. Cloud Cathedral. Volleyball went to state again in 2007 (section 6AA champions), losing to Mayer Lutheran and St. Cloud Cathedral.

Students

There are 380 students, 51% of which are male. Grade 7 has 71 students, grade 8 has 61 students, grade 9 has 64 students, grade 10 has 55 students, there are 66 juniors, and 63 seniors. The student:teacher ratio is 1:16. 2% of all students are Hispanic, and 98% are white. This data was taken from 2001–2003
